INTRODUCTION OF AHL E SUNNAT
Allah Subhanahu o Taa’la said, ”Cling one and all to the faith of Allah and let nothing divide you ” (C,3,v,103).
Our Beloved Prophet Muhammad Rasulullah (peace be upon him) said, “Follow the big party since whosoever deviates from it, will be thrown into the fire of hell” (Ibn e Maja).
The same (Big Party) is illustrated as “Sabilul Momineen” in the following verse, “He that disobeys the Apostle after guidance has been made clear to him and follows a path other than that of the faithful, shall be given what he has chosen. We will cast him into hell: a dismal and devastating end”(C,4,v,115).
WHO IS SUNNI
One who practically adheres to the path of rightly guided Caliphs, the Sahaba (the Companions of the holy Prophet may Allah’s peace be on him), the Ahl e Bait(the Family Members of the holy prophet (may Allah’s peace be on him), the Tabi een and Tab ut Tab een (Those who follow the Companions of the holy prophet and those who follow the followers of the Companions), the Mohaddiseen (the Narrators of the traditions of the holy prophet may Allah’s peace be on him), the Aimm e Muj ta hideen (the four great scholars of Islamic Jurisprudence) and the Auliy e Kamileen (the Muslim Sufi Saints), by holding belief in either of two groups of the Ash aree and the Ma tu ridee, by following any one of the four schools of thought: Hanafi, Shafee, Maliki and Hambli, and is attached to any one of the spiritual linages of Qadri, Chishti, Naqsh bandi, Suhar wardi,Shazali, Rafaai,Nizami,Ashrafi or Razvi ctc is, in a word, a Sunni Muslim (Belongs to Ahl e Sunnat o Jamat). In short, any muslim who perceives Imam Ahmed Raza Khan of north India and Maulana Shah Anwarullah Farooquee of Hyderabad to be the true icons of Ahl e Sunnat Jamat, is a pakka (Confirmed) Sunni Muslim.
It may be noted here that the criterion to ascertain the veracity of Ahl e Sunnat Jamat is not based on the quantity of the following group, irrespective of their being in majority or in minority. The truthfulness of any Jamat (group) can be examined as to which group is wholeheartedly believing in the ideology of Ahl e Sunnat o Jamat and practices it. Ahl e Sunnat o Jamat is not an innovated one like other so called Jamats or sects but it has been known and practiced since the holy days of the holy prophet (May Allah’s peace be on him) long before any mislead sect emerged in the muslim society. It is reported on the authority of Sayyeduna Imam Zainul Aabideen Ali Bin Hussain (May Allah be well pleased with them) that sending salaam in abundance upon the holy prophet (May Allah’s peace be on him) is one of the known signs of Ahl e Sunnat o Jamat. Well, it is an established fact the Sunni Muslims around the world are known for this holy practice.
It is exigently needed that we the sunni muslims, the followers of the true path should call the slaves of Allah to the Deen(Islam)of Allah, show guidance to those who deviate from the upright path, reform the mislead groups and teach good conducts to the ones gone astryed and ill-mannered ones. Allah the exalted said, “You are the best nation that has ever been raised up for mankind. You enjoin justice and forbid evil. You believe in Allah (C,3,V,110). Enjoining good to people and prohibiting them from evil, is one of the first & foremost duty of a good muslim and of an Aalim(Islamic scholar) in particular, as Allah, the Exalted said,”Let there become of you a group that shall call for righteousness, enjoin justice, and forbid evil. Such men shall surely excel (C,3,v,104). But this great task needs sincerity, determination, forbearance and tolerance, without which execution of propagation of Deen becomes almost impossible.
A IMPORTANT: It is known to all, that the Ahl e Sunnat o Jamat’s followers are today in anarchy, disorderliness and unorganised all over the country. There are a number of religious, educational, social and organizational issues which demand an urgent, sincere consideration and a practical step from people of Ahl e Sunnat in India to get united and mobilize themselves in such a manner that they become work force for the promotion of Ahl e Sunnat o Jamat in the state as well as in the country and become part and parcel of the whole muslim community so that they could enable to build a united society, a strong nation and a righteous Umma. The time has come for them to work under the umbrella of a united and strong platform shunning all the differences among themselves, whereby they can take some conducive steps towards educating Ahl e Sunnat o Jamat in particular and Muslim Umma in general at all levels across the country and thereby they can play a positive and constructive role in building community & country.
LET’S NOT FORGET :
We Indian Muslims are living in a secular country wherein people of different backgrounds and different faiths co-exist peacefully for centuries together. They live in peace and maintain communal harmony. India is a country with democratic setup based on a strong constitution. Therefore we muslims by following the teachings of Shariat, must learn to live as a law abiding and a peaceful citizens of the country as we have ever been living since post-independence. Let’s not overlook the fact that co-existing with Non-Ahl e Sunnat muslim groups existing in muslim society, is not less important than to co-existing with Non-muslim communities living in our country, or else we will get reduced to just a small units of no importance without any weight or dignity in such a large country like India.
In view of this, Jamat e Ahl e Sunnat Karnataka is organized on three fronts:
- Strengthening Ahl e Sunnat,
- Strengthening Muslim Community as a whole and,
- Building the Nation. Let’s remember and forget not that, United We stand Divided We fall.
The office Bearers of Jamate Ahl e Sunnat Karnataka have so far visited all the 30 districts of the state and approached Sunni Ulma, Mashaaikh, Intellectuals and prominent sunni citizens of their respective districts and formed Committees of Jamat e Ahl e Sunnat with unanimously in every district.
