Leaders Meet on Karnataka Stage
On 6 September 2026, Hazrat Sayed Tanveer Hashmi, President of Jamat-e-Ahle Sunnat Karnataka, shared the stage with the Honourable Chief Minister of Karnataka, Siddaramaiah, at a public programme. The two leaders shook hands warmly before a large gathering, with religious scholars and community representatives of all faiths present on the dais.
Love for ALL in Action
JASK carries the Sufi message of Love for ALL, hate for none. Meeting the Chief Minister is part of that mission: placing the concerns of Sunni Muslims, madrasa education, Waqf protection and communal harmony directly before the state leadership, while standing shoulder to shoulder with Hindu, Christian and Sikh religious heads, as seen in this gathering.
What Was Discussed
Such meetings are where memorandums are handed over, demands for minority welfare schemes, Haj committee facilities, protection of mosques and dargahs, and action against hate speech are raised face to face. Photographs from the event show Hindu seers and community elders beside the JASK leadership, a living picture of Karnataka’s shared culture.
Jamat-e-Ahle Sunnat Karnataka will continue to represent the community at every forum of power, with dignity and dialogue.
